The Oxxera story

From one real problem on a tender desk to a company that builds for any kind of business.

    A familiar scene

    Walk into almost any contractor's office in Qatar and you will find the same scene. A drawing set open on one screen, a spreadsheet on the other, and a capable person moving numbers from one to the other. It is skilled work, but much of it is repetitive.

    The tender desk

    That is where Oxxera started: with the tender desk. We built an engine that reads the drawing, understands what is drawn in it, measures it and drafts the bill of quantities. We test it against an independent reference, because a demo that only works on its own examples proves nothing.

    Then security, then more

    Then came a second engine for CCTV and security layouts, checked against a documented rule set built around the Ministry of Interior's building categories. Once you can read a drawing and a rulebook, a great deal of other paperwork starts to look familiar: invoices, contracts, approvals, reports.

    Still growing outward

    So the company grew outward from one real problem rather than inward from a slogan. We still work that way. We would rather solve one job properly for you than promise you transformation.

How we work

  • Start with one job

    The best first project is small, painful and easy to measure. Pick it, prove it, then talk about the next one. Big-bang AI programmes are how companies end up with a slide deck and no software.

  • A person signs off

    A system that is right most of the time is only safe if it knows when it is not. Ours flags what it is unsure of and leaves the decision with someone who is accountable for it.

  • Measure it

    Before we build, we write down what the job costs today in hours and mistakes. After, we measure again. If the number did not move, we say so.

  • Keep it yours

    Your documents, your rates, your rules. Where needed we can scope running it on your own servers, and we build so that you are not locked in to us.

  • The engineer

    The person who builds your system is on the call. There is no account manager translating between you and the code.

  • The domain brain

    Someone who understands drawings, tenders, invoices and approvals, so you never have to explain what a BOQ is.

  • Local, bilingual

    We work in Arabic and English, in Doha, and we are happy to come and watch the work being done before we build anything.
